Useful

This app is very useful for us Mac user to open office word.I like this app very much.Really a great app!

Can’t deal with .docx files

Good lord, for a product that calls itself “X Word” and says it’s compatible with Word documents, it can’t even OPEN or SAVE .docx files! I want a refund.

Not Fit For Any Student

I needed a word processor for my Mac that was compattible with Microsoft Word for my college classes. I read the comments and reviews and bought this: what a mistake. I am required to turn in all my papers MLA format, which is literally impossible on X Word. When you add a header (I am required to number the pages and put my last name), it automatically adds a footer as well, and I cannot even find a help center page in order to deal with this problem. Headers are a basic, fundamental need for documents for ANY student. DO NOT BUY THIS.

bad

i just had to rewrite a whole paper because when i tried to add in a picture it ffroze up for the third time! and it woulnt let e save so i am having to start all over. this thing glitches all the time do not buy it!

Don’t waste your money

I can not believe I wasted $20 on the premium version of this app. I completed a school assignment on this app and when I was about to submit it I realized it doesn’t save files as .doc but it saves them as .xwd. So it makes it incompatible if I have to send something to someone who doesn’t have this app. If someone knows how to get my money back please let me know. The most misleading part is that no where in the description does it state files will be saved as .xwd. Very shady business.

Impossible to update X Word yo version 1.5

The pinwheel just spins forever, but nothing happens. If you trash the prior version (1.4.1) & click on “instal, what AppStore does is instal version 1.4.1, rather than 1.5. If you then Quit AppStore & relaunch it, once again it proposes to update the version it just installed to 1.5. The worst part of all this is that no one in Apple’s various support teams takes responsilibity for what i describe above. It took forever for various among the support people w. whom i dealt, (i have the email correspondence, if anyone is interested), all of thel perfectly gracious, to finally accept that the problem is in the AppStore - as you can see by kust looking above in this window. But nothing has been done, & my last emails have been ignored. In other words, AppStore cannot be trusted to update applications you buy through AppStore.
