X Word - for Microsoft Word Edition & Open Office Format App Reviews

Created a document in the free version and bought the full version so I could convert to PDF. HOWEVER the full version will act like it is opening the document but will never actually open it. I uninstalled the free version and restarting incase it caused overlapping, but still the same issue. Usless if it will not open documents for its own program. I recreated the document in the full verson and saved it. And even still it will not open the new document.

I had downloaded the X Word Free and liked the interface and the functions. Then I downloaded the pro version and was disappointed. The pro version seemed to have fewer functions than the free version. I could not insert the page number. I could not create headers and footers. These two functions I needed the most. Moreover, there is no help or pdf manual available for X Word Pro. I was so disappointed that I requested a refund from the Apple Store.

i bought this app with hopes of writing my english report with it...i clicked the app, and the top bar showed up...but no document processor! what the heck??

I just bought this and it wont open. what do i need to do? Please help!

I just purchased this app, and I cant open it. I tried to uninstall and then install without success. Waist of money.

For some odd reason I purchased this app, and wasted my $10 ! I read some of the reviews, but, I guess the wrong ones. First of all, as my muse made me type quick, the typed words just started jumping all over the place, it just seemed that the curser was just cursed at that momment and the words were anywhere and everywhere except for where they belonged. Of course once I tried to fix, I could not get the mistakes to be fixed! In addition, adding graphics were impossible for me to the point that I let the page plain. I know I am not computer savvy, but this never happened to me. I really do not recommend this app!!!!

I love the app , it’s a great price for documents we know and love, it would just be nice if it was more compatible with pictures. It seem likes everytime I try to put a picture down and move it around it creates errors, and it will also displace text or delete it.

This is an experimental program with serious glitches and not for real productive work. At best, this is a project for a programming class, at worst, this is a scam. I just lost the change to get an A on my grades because i type a paper on this terrible product, and to my surprise it has problems opening files saved on its own native format, it doesnt refresh the screen after you attach images on the document, so, once the image is attached, and you want to keep type, the cursor just stop responding, and none of what you type can be seen in the screen , but if you save , close and re-open your document, then you notice the characters you typed just before closing it a few seconds earlier. When you re-open a document in some ocassions the page format is lost, with errors like overlapping contiguous pages. The insert footnote doesnt work, so, you try to add page numbers on the footnote and it just doesnt show up. The when you add the page number only in the header, you see a header and a footnote page number. The only reason i bought this product over Pages is because this word processor can manage rtf, but after the bad experience I had today, i definitively had to write a review and hope this catch Apples attention, becuase its not possible to allow such an incomplete app

If you are looking for a lightweight yet powerful word processor, X Word is for you. I am extremely satisfied with this app and a very good alternative to Microsoft Word or Pages. You can easiily create, open and edit your documents with ease. With built-in iCloud and Fullscreen support, this app fits my needs. You can also easily include photos or shapes to your documents.

I like this small app - it’s fast to download and install, easy to learn how to get around.

The app is suitable for light work on Word documents. it’s easy to use, but not too amny functions. for me, it’s just good enough for my usual work.

This app is probably the worst app I have ever used. Before buying the app, I read all the comments and thought it would exactly what I was looking for. Turns out, it barely does anything in the description. I cant upload templates onto the app, and trying to get a bunch of photos on it all at once is time consuming and very frustrating! Please listen to this and dont make the mistake I did. I WANT A REFUND!!!!

If you’re looking for an easy to use word editor, this app is for you. Very good for quick editing of documents but can also do heavy duty processing. Worth all the penny.

Well I bought this app yesterday and since then have been trying to figure it out with no luck! It’s so hard to understand which makes it basically useless to me. If you are looking for something to make your life simpler….my advice would be….keep looking. I don’t know what the return policy is? So disappointed in this app.

Possibly one of the worst apps I have ever wasted my money on. You can read all of these reviews and think what you want, but trust me on this: This app is terribly slow. It freezes up and it doesn’t even do half of the things that Microsoft Word does. This is a waste of money and you should not buy it. Also remember that if you try to email one of the documents that this app create, other people will not be able to read and open in unless they have XWord as well… Such a waste of money…..

It is a fast, smooth and tiny office app. It has a clear fullscreen view that loads pages quickly.
